1. For Couples – 2D1N Romantic Couple Itinerary
Note: The earliest flights from Scoot and Jetstar flying to Bangkok are from 7am. These itineraries will be planned around those flight timings – using the default estimation that you’ll depart from Don Mueang Airport by 10am. You may customise these itineraries according to your flight timings/preferences.

Make a splash and bathe together in natural crystal springs – Ban Tha Chang Springs (2 hours)
Known to be similar to the famous Emerald Pool in Krabi, This will make an unforgettable and quite romantic experience. Go swimming in the crystal blue waters of these springs with a mini waterfall.
You can also enjoy a mini couple picnic together here as there are small shops around selling street food like grilled chicken and Som Tam (papaya salad).

Sparkling lake views with your tea break – Pirom Cafe
One of the newest places to open in Khao Yai, this cafe resembles a vineyard providing a view of manicured maze-like trees, and open views of the sparkling lake.
Settle in for a relaxing tea break together after your swim in the springs and enjoy the views!

Wanderlusting couples will enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime sunset – Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave (1 hour)
This is the kind of sight you’ll likely get to experience once in a lifetime. Watch 2 million bats streaking across the glorious sunset, and marvel at mother nature’s splendour.
It’s awe inspiring and of course, great for photos.
Note: You can of course, visit the caves at any time, however the bats come out in their millions to feed around sunset between 5pm to 6.30pm.

Have dinner in a breathtaking medieval castle – Midwinter Green (1.5 hours)
Feast like the King and Queen you are, on a delicious offering of international and Thai cuisine, including some really cheesy pizza, gourmet sandwiches, and barbeque.
Romantic and epic all at the same time, this restaurant comes straight out of a fantasy and makes for an incredible date night.

Have a quaint adventure with your sweetheart in Khao Yai’s version of Alice’s Wonderland with life-sized teacups – and that maze that looks suspiciously like that of the Queen of Hearts.

It’s time for your lunch with lovely views – The Chocolate Factory (1.5hrs)
It’s one of the must-go-tos in Khao Yai. Enjoy lunch at The Chocolate Factory. Your lady (or gent) with the sweet tooth will definitely appreciate.
Indulge in Western and Thai delicacies, as well as superb desserts – as you enjoy an uninterrupted view of the stunning surroundings through the restaurant’s glass windows.
Don’t forget to buy some chocolate drops or chocolate-coated chopped almonds to bring back home. We can personally vouch for its yumminess!

1. For quality couple bonding and there’s a sunflower garden too! – Baannokkokna Khaoyai (From USD $76)
Take a step back from reality and jump into simplistic and clean living for awhile (where no such thing as TV or wifi exists BTW). This means plenty of undistracted time for bonding in one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen.
As if all the green that surrounds you isn’t enough, it’s built next to a canal, which you can take a romantic paddle through, with bridges connecting the pathways throughout. This is where you can take some seriously beautiful couple photos.
The spacious rooms are just gorgeous, all done in natural woods and brick with sharp, clean minimalistic features. Whichever room you choose has a living space too – which makes sure you can enjoy some relaxing private moments.

An awesome adventurous activity for both parents and kids – Khao Yai Speedway Speedkart (and House Farm) (1.5hrs)
This is perfect for a solid hour filled with endless fun for all ages in le familia. With an adult and kids go-kart track, you’re all going to love this one!
We have to mention the animal farm and if you’re looking for a caffeine rush, the Topsy Turvy cafe serves good coffee!

Getting there and around
Getting there from Bangkok by…
1. CAR:
a) Private Chartered Car with Driver
The most convenient option we highly recommend is to book your transport (city transfer with driver) online with Klook to travel from Bangkok to Khao Yai. You and your family will be able to comfortably spend time together while on the road, as the local driver brings you around the best places in town!
b) Car Rental
Alternatively, if you’re confident driving on unfamiliar roads, you may rent a car in Bangkok for your time in Khao Yai. Simply load the directions on GPS (or Google Maps on your phone). The journey is relatively straightforward, and will take up to 3 hours. The best part? Having a car will make exploring Khao Yai that much easier! When renting a car (Ezy Rent A Car, Europcar Thailand, or Sixt), make sure to check your rental car thoroughly – from ensuring that everything is working fine, to when it was last serviced.
2. BUS:
Make your way to Mo Chit Bus Station in Bangkok. There are several buses travelling to Pak Chong every half hour. Bus tickets will cost from USD $5. (Do double check that the bus you take stops at Pak Chong.)
3. MINIVAN:
The faster alternative, minivans located at Victory Monument travelling directly to Pak Chong leaves every 2 hours and cost from USD $5 per seat. Get to Victory Monument and find minivan companies on the south exit of the BTS skyline station, on the small stretch between Century Plaza and 7-eleven shop. Resorts can also provide a one-way private minivan to pick you from your hotel in Bangkok for approximately USD $98 for up to 8 people.
4. TRAIN:
The slowest way to get to Khao Yai, take the train from Hua Lampong Train Station in Bangkok Central to Pak Chong. Trains leave Hua Lampong Station for Pak Chong 4 times a day, and will take approximately 4-5 hours to reach. Tickets cost approximately USD $8 (depending on seat class)
Getting around
If you’re looking for options to get around, we have you covered. In Khao Yai, one definitely needs a car to get around. Whether you would rather have a private chartered car or prefer driving around yourself – getting around can be simple!
1. Klook’s private chartered car with driver (From USD $116 / approx. 3935 Baht per vehicle)
Note: For a family of 4, that works out to under US$30 per pax!
