8. We love the liquid lipsticks – Seventeen

A great drugstore option, Seventeen caught our eyes with its fun vibrant design.

From the usual mascaras, eyeliners, cheek/lip stains and the cutest cheek stamps (read: blushers) available – one thing that really stood out were the liquid matte lipsticks in squeeze out tubes.

Great even application, and lasts quite awhile! The colours available are really pretty too – check it out if you’re in any Boots store!

9. A brand you know and love (with certain products unavailable back home!) – Soap & Glory

So, you might’ve definitely heard of Soap & Glory especially if you’re familiar with the range of brands available at Sephora – but did you know that some of their star products might not be available in your home country?

For one, Soap & Glory’s winning mattifying pressed powder ‘One Heck of a Blot’ isn’t available in Singapore!

Good news for us frequent BKK shoppers, the local Boots stores in Bangkok carries a good range of Soap & Glory products. Apart from ‘One Heck of a Blot’, we hear their bronzers ‘Wonderbronze’ and ‘Solar Powder’, and highlighter ‘Glow All Out’ aren’t too bad too!

Ranging from their all too familiar body scrubs (yes, including ones that might be unavailable back home), to a variety of make-up essentials like the ‘Pillow Plump’ (for lips) – we’re sure you’ll have a ton of fun grabbing some Soap & Glory products you’ve yet to try!

10. Thailand’s take on the cult must-have Benefits’ High Beam – Oriental Princess

Well packaged with a delightful blend of girly sophistication, Oriental Princess is one brand that truly knows their audience.

If you’re a fan of Benefits’ High Beam Liquid Highlighter, then you need to know that Oriental Princess has a highlighter (Dazzling Glow Twinkle Potion) that looks and feels almost exactly like it – but at a fraction of the price!

Other products available include contour palettes, eyeshadows, matte lip pencils, brightening complex creams, perfumes and even hair treatment essences.

Feel free to go crazy and treat yourself to goodies worthy of any princess!

11. The best mattifying powder for oily skin – Srichand Powder

Srichand Powder is so good, it’s been around since 1948, and is still popular amongst Thais (and Thai celebrities) till date! Similar to Korea’s Palgantong Powder, Srichand Powder’s classic powder has since been given a vintage makeover. (This means pretty packaging!!)

What makes it so good? For those of us cursed with perpetually oily skin, Srichand Powder is great for controlling that dreaded shine while smoothing out our skin and mattifying it.

12. Thailand’s No.1 Make-up brand? You decide! – Mistine

If you’ve been to Bangkok before, you might be familiar with Mistine, simply because of all the Mistine advertisements in the BTS Stations.

Accordingly Thailands’ No.1 Make-up brand, Mistine has a variety of products to check out. We’ve tried Mistine’s mascara and have to say it’s a good addition to the usual rotation of mascaras used.

Other products include eyeliners, the Magic Secret Lip Tint, BB Loose Powder and even BB oil control mousse with sun protection!

13. The go-to coconut oil products for your skin and hair! – Inecto Naturals

If you’re a fan of coconut oil and constantly rave about the wonders it does for your skin and hair, then you have to give Inecto Naturals a try.

Easily available at any Boots store, Inecto Naturals stocks a marvellous range of coconut oil-based products. From coconut facial or body scrubs to coconut hair serums and coconut hair oil – you might just be adding this into your daily regimen.

14. The super affordable brand Thai make-up artists love for beauty pageants – Arty Professional

Many (and we mean many) make-up artists love Arty Professional, and for good reason too.

A quick search online will show that this is the go-to make-up brand used for fashion shows and beauty pageants. Specialising in cosmetics, Arty Professional’s selling point is its variety of products suitable for different skin types at extremely affordable prices.

There’s no need to splurge a hefty sum on photo finish full coverage foundations the likes of Makeup Forever. (lol)

A great option to go for? How about the natural matte finish foundation with SPF35! You’ll find plenty of options here, all you have to do is take your time and browse. 😛

15. Try the face serum, we personally love it – Botanics

Love a good plant-based skin-care product? Look no further than Botanics. We’ve been a long time user of Botanics’ face serum and eye cream (approximately 3 years and counting!) – and honestly, this is a brand that surprisingly works well at this price!

Botanic’s face serum is surprisingly comparable to Bodyshop’s cult favourite Drops of Youth Concentrate. A couple of drops are all you need, and it’s quickly absorbed into the skin, leaving it well primed for the rest of your skincare routine!

16. The quirky Victorian concept that aims to please – Beauty Cottage

The first thing that blew us away when we stumbled on Beauty Cottage was the incredible range of products available. They have all sorts of ranges, from rice to milk and more, that’s been adapted for different skin types. Each range has products meant for everything from your hair, to your body, and your skin.

The second thing about Beauty Cottage that blew us away, was its unique Victorian concept. A very well-designed concept that makes you feel good simply looking at it.

For those who love a quirky product, Beauty Cottage sells solid perfumes in the cutest little balm boxes too!

17. Great, GREAT hair products! – Boots (house brand)

Girls (and guys), much like Watsons and Guardian who each have their own range of house brand products, Boots has its very own range of house brand products too.

True story, this editor bought 3 bottles of Boots’ leave-in hair conditioner when she tried it out. #stockup!!!!

Whether you have dry hair or oily hair, there are different hair products suitable for your hair type, and we’ve tested and proven that they work!

There’s no need to splash out unnecessarily on salon hair products, when Boots provides these easy-to-use, not to mention, effective conditioners and more at really great prices.

18. It exfoliates and moisturises all at the same time – Sanctuary Spa

One of the best body scrubs we’ve ever tried, is Israel’s popular Ahava Dead Sea Salt Scrub. It leaves your skin feeling extra smooth and buttery, and in our opinion, is even better than the usual body scrubs by brands like Soap & Glory.

The whole purpose of sharing that? Sanctuary Spa stocks its very own Dead Sea Salt Scrub in a sophisticated jar – and it’s as effective as the Ahava scrub, if not more!

Apart from exfoliating your body, Sanctuary Spa’s scrub also promises to moisturise your skin, which it does extremely well (tried and tested), leaving you feeling extra smooth and buttery.

The scrub contains moisturising coconut, jojoba and almond oils – so if you suffer from a constant state of dry and patchy skin, this is a good scrub/moisturiser to use!

19. Get their baked blushers and more!! – Sivanna Colours

This Thai brand is a treat to have with its quality make-up products. Offering baked blushers, gorgeous eyeshadow palettes and more, it’s no wonder that Sivanna Colours is supremely popular among the trendy Thai ladies.

There’s a wide range of cosmetics offered, and you’ll have a hard time deciding what you’d like to try!

20. Cute and quirky with subtle glamour for your everyday look – Obuse

Another cute and quirky Thai brand, Obuse stocks make-up meant for daily wear, regardless of the types of looks you like.

Whether you prefer a fresh face, or slightly sultry daily look, Obuse has a blend of products suitable for ladies who like a little bit of subtle glamour in your everyday life.

Most notably, the loose highlight powder really adds a nice subtle glow for that fresh-faced look. (Jenn Im/Clothes Encounters, anyone?)

Of course, they have other products available too, eyeshadow palettes, eyeliners and more.

21. Sailormoon makeup?! – Creer Beaute

Anyone who got started with makeup thanks to Michelle Phan’s oldschool RiceBunny tutorials here? This Sailormoon-themed make-up is something she’s been loving for awhile, and now you can get your hands on it too.

To be fair, it can be quite pricey for a supposedly simple product – however, the packaging more than makes up for it!

Imagine making make-up magic happen with your Sailormoon lip cream or eyeliner wand, or putting on blush straight out of the magical Sailormoon cup. With ‘magical’ make-up like that, you’re sure to go waltzing out of the house feeling extra special.

22. Something different, how about massage oils and fragrant balms? – Ruen Rom

We stumbled on this brand at a Karmart store while randomly walking through a BTS Station, and loved the elemental massage oils, and lemongrass balms that came in a cute mortar/pestle design.

It’s both quirky and traditional at the same time, and if you’re looking for a good massage oil, or fragrant balms (some call them solid perfumes) – Ruen Rom is a good Thai brand to check out.

Why only have massages when you’re in Thailand, when you can buy massage oil (and balms) back home and get your significant other to give you some extra loving? 😛

23. “The most evil mask ever” – Country and Stream

I’m sure you’ve seen those blackhead mask videos that are making their way around online. This honey chamomile mask, as soothing as it sounds, has also been described by a reviewer online as the most evil mask she’s ever used.

While it can literally be a pain to peel off, it really works. If you peel this mask off slowly while looking in the mirror, you can actually see your blackheads and whiteheads popping right out of your skin just like in those blackhead mask videos!

24. Bulgarian rose water toner – Alteya Organics

Rose water toner sprays are great for 4 reasons.
1. It helps to moisturise your skin, maintain your skin’s pH balance, fight acne and eczema
2. It keeps you feeling refreshed while its antioxidant properties helps to revitalise aging skin and keep fine lines and wrinkles away.
3. It tones your skin while its anti-bacterial properties helps to heal scars and wounds.
4. It smells really good!

If you love a good rose water toner, but always moan about how expensive the quality ones can be…

You need to try Alteya Organics’ Organic Bulgarian Rose Water! For starters,we bought it and loved it – and one of has has super sensitive skin, so you know it’s good and gentle enough for every skin type. (Also, a quick google will show that this is one of the recommended brands on skincare articles.)

25. Love a good lip tint? – Peripera

Another Korean brand, Peripera stands out at first sight thanks to the quirky packaging.

What we really liked about this brand, is the array of lip tints available! It has a pretty good staying power, and glides on well. The lip tints come in different packaging from what looks like milk/fruit juice cartons, to dropper bottles!

Apart from lip tints, Peripera has an assortment of beauty products ranging from blushers, to mascaras and more.

26. Everyday lip crayons! – Golden Rose

What we’ve found and liked about this Turkish brand are it’s lip crayons! It’s pretty similar to Revlon’s Balm Stains, but at a tad lower cost. There are really nice shades ranging from nudes to reds, so you can be sure to find one that matches your complexion.

Honestly a great brand for everyday make-up for a fresh barely there make-up look!

27. Ooooh, a very yummy rose perfume – Cute Press

Okay, to come clean with you, one thing we liked about Cute Press was the Juliet Rose EDT perfume. We were surprised at the quality of this perfume even though it only cost 300 Baht!

It’s slightly sweeter than Givenchy’s Very Irresistible L’Eau En Rose EDT Spray, but smells very similar!

If you don’t need a powerful EDP (Eau de Parfum) that lasts all day, and only need something simple but nice for a short time out – Cute Press is a great alternative for affordable daily perfume, and comes with other scents too!

PS: They also have a bunch of Disney-themed make-up like Alice-in-Wonderland and The Little Mermaid lip balms, and Frozen-themed UV Protection sunblock and more.

28. In the market for a new highlighter? – Bisous

Take one look at Bisous, and you’ll fall in love with the dainty, classy packaging. A standout product in particular are its compact foundations and highlight that come in packaging designed to look like flowers or a seashell.

If you have fair skin, the compact foundations will be perfect. If you have tan skin or darker skin, we’d recommend going for the Rainbow Cluster Crystal Shimmer Highlight! It’s a gorgeous and pretty subtle shimmer that’ll add just the right amount glow to your everyday.

29. Always on the look out for organic products – Mad Hippie

If you’re a ‘mad hippie’ on a constant lookout for all things organic, well… Mad Hippie is where you’ll want to look! (BuzzFeed has reviewed and approved Mad Hippie too, FYI.)

Eye Cream, Exfoliating Serum, Face Cream, Vitamin A Serum, and more – Mad Hippie is a good option to look into if you’re in the market for these products!

30. It’s a whimsical kinda thing – Flawless Me

If you like brands for their packaging, you might be interested to know about Flawless Me, a really cute brand with whimsical packaging.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they’re stocking products like ‘Pull-it-Up Vitamin Loose Powder’, and ‘Aqua Splash Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel’. Feel free to look at the range of products available, there’s quite a variety, and the best part? It’s affordable and works!

31. The prettiest masks of all, maybe one of the best too? – Water Angel

You won’t be faulted for thinking that you’re in Japan (famous for their plethora of face masks), when you see this cool line of masks from Japan!

While the best-selling mask in Japan (Bihada Ichizoku) is available here, Water Angel masks are almost as good as those too! Choose one according to your needs, whether its the anti-aging unicorn mask (Horse Oil Mask) or anything else.

All we know is that these masks are great for stocking up on – for those days back home when you feel like doing a mask that’s a little more luxurious!
