This cafe basically makes your mermaid dreams come true from the decor to the scrumptious food. Ready to dive in? Here are 5 reasons you should obviously make a trip down ASAP!

1. Mermaid Island Cafe has had a major upgrade and is now a 4-storey Castle

Can’t resist magical mermaidy treasures? Mermaid Castle Cafe has expanded their treasure trove of things you can bring home.

Three floors of clothes, merchandise – and of course, you can also find your very own mermaid tail.

Flipper your way through racks of Indian ocean-esque clothes, scaly sequin bags, and even home decor items!

2. This mermaid-themed afternoon tea is making me explode with excitement

Order your food and drinks on the third floor – the first thing most people look out for is the Signature Set, a whimsical mermaid-themed Afternoon Tea set.

It comes complete with mermaid cupcakes, shell cookies and pastel cakes – served with tea steaming right out of Mrs Potts and Chip, from Beauty and the Beast nonetheless!

3. If you just want to chill with a drink, tuck into an iced-something topped with a tail!

Another mermaid signature at Mermaid Castle Cafe are the Mermaid Sundaes, a pastel concoction topped with frothy whipped cream and a beautiful mermaid’s tail.

We didn’t want to sin too bad, and ordered a simple Iced Cocoa that came topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a mermaid’s tail! The tail cookie was unexpectedly yummy to munch on. 😉

4. Even Mermaids get hungry, so tuck in with these savory mains

If you’re more hungry and are looking for mains to fill up on, fret not – Mermaid Castle Cafe serves up some classic staples!

How about Spicy Bacon Spaghetti?

If not, how about Stewed Pork Rice served in the cutest cup/bowl combo, to be eaten with the super cute ice-cream spoon provided?

5. You’ll be simply spoilt for photo opportunities here!

Princesses (and Mer-princes) can head over to the third floor for your makeover. Find an aclove for yourself and make your instagram shots super magical.

The fourth floor is where you’ll kick back with your new flippers and enjoy their creative drinks and cakes – as well as the instaworthy backdrops. You can also use props such as these royal shell crowns that looked like they were washed ashore straight from Atlantis.

If you’re here, you also shouldn’t miss out on a photo with the marvellous chic and sassy neon sign.

Also, if you’re lucky you might get to spot a mer-dog or two!
