Who doesn’t love Japanese cosmetics? In fact, some of the most beloved beauty brands worldwide are Japanese – SK-II, Shiseido, Kose, and the list goes on…

It’s a fact that Japanese products are known to be of high-quality. And even if they’re pricier than Korean or Western brands, they’re usually worth the penny.

(Side note: I’ve found that Japanese brands work better for my skin, while Korean brands usually cause breakouts on my skin, unfortunately… Which is why I avoid using the latter as much as possible.)

Thankfully for me, there’s a new Japanese beauty store in Bangkok – a.k.a Matsumoto Kiyoshi – which sells both popular and lesser-known Japanese brands. So the next time you go shopping in Bangkok, remember to drop by. Who knows… You might find your next favourite product here. 😉

From eyebrows to lip stains, you can now have your lips red the entire day with this peel-off lip pack. How to use it? Just apply it like a lipstick and peel it off when it dries. You’ll then have pretty lips all day. Isn’t it amazing?!

5. We love big butts and we cannot lie – Slim Walk Pants (from 990 baht)

No need for butt implants or fat transfers. And saggy butts? Please. The Japanese have invented these pants that lift and firm your butt. Hello, beautiful peaches, here we come! 😍🤣

6. Have feet that’s smooth as a baby’s – Sosu Foot Peeling Pack (350 baht)

This isn’t something particularly new/inventive. But it works! Open up this sock-like pack, and wear it for 1 to 1.5 hours and wash it off afterwards. And after a few days (of dead skin peeling right off), you’ll get new feet as smooth as a baby’s (bye bye dead skin!).

7. No need to buy Crest Whitening Strips when you can buy – Z.A.P’s Teeth whitening mask (690 baht)

Teeth whitening is all the rage these days, and if you’re at Siam Square, you might as well try these! There are 7 sets in one pack (to be used for 7 days) so remember to use them routinely for 7-days straight for whiter teeth!

9. Make your teeth white again using a cotton bud…??? – Toothshine, Cojit Tooth Stick (from 199 baht)

Nope, it’s not the usual cotton bud for your ears (although it looks like one). Instead, it’s for your teeth! Swab them tooth-by-tooth to whiten each tooth. Simple right?

One thing that worries me about my monthly gel mani-pedis, is the UV rays that I’m exposing the skin on my hands and feet to (since UV light is used to dry and harden/cure the gel polish). If people can get skin cancer from tanning beds, how about the UV rays from gel manicures?

Currently, there’s not enough research/statistics to provide more information on this, BUT, if you share my worries… you can consider using press-on nails instead!

PS: For longer-lasting nails, have your real nails the same length as the “fake nail” before sticking them on.

14. Did you know that your eyelashes could do with some nutrients too?! – Angfa’s SCALP D BEAUTE Pure Free Eyelash Serum & Eyeliner (699 baht)

To help them grow beautifully and strongly, use these eyelash serums with nutrients and none of those dangerous ingredients (this one uses no silicone, oil, alcohol, parabens, etc). This also has a curl tip so you can apply the serum equally, from the root to the end of your lashes.

PS: Angfa sells pretty good eyeliners too, in case you’re looking for a new eyeliner to try!

Finding the right facial wash is a hit or miss, especially if you have acne-prone skin like mine. Thankfully, this soap is safe for acne-prone, sensitive and oily skin AND still makes your skin feel clean and soft.

17. Get rid of dry skin on your face – Detclear’s Bright & Peel (733 baht)

Your skin is precious, especially the skin on your face. Treat yourself to a weekly mini facial session with this gentle brightening and peeling gel. It smells good, and your skin will feel pleasantly moisturised with with dry dead skin gently removed too!
