Each shop has its own unique personality, and each sells something that the next one does not.

Spend a few days visiting every one of these 12 shops and markets. Dig through old items dating back before you were even born, and have some fun shopping!

1. The shop that’s frozen in the retro era of the 70’s – Pai Issara

Pai Issara sells vintage women’s wear from the 1960’s, mainly the 1970’s, and the 1980’s.

They sell anything from crop tops, bell-bottom jeans, jumpsuits, and gowns at affordable prices. They even sell vintage wedding gowns, starting from 3,000 baht!

Their dresses start at around 890-2,000 baht. This is a great store to shop at If you’re looking to spice up your wardrobe, looking for those vintage items you grew up wearing, or looking for an 80’s party costume!

Their hours are in the afternoon and on the weekend, so if you’re busy during the week, you won’t have to worry about missing out on this shop.

2. For the ladies who want to stand out against the crowd – Sugar & Cream

They offer a huge selection of clutch handbags in various styles and shapes, one of the highlights at Sugar & Cream.

This store is for the ladies that love hunting for vintage dresses in search of that perfect discovery. They have bold colored clothing with striking patterns, perfect for the outfit that stands out against the crowd.

They also have blouses, maxi skirts, dresses, and various accessories like bags, hats, jewelry, and belts.

Offering vintage apparel and accessories, this is mostly a women’s shop, but they also have various men’s items like shirts, shoes, and jackets.

They sell shoes, glittery dresses, shirts and accessories, all arranged by color to make shopping that much easier! Their items range from around 500 baht to 5,000 depending on the item, and have a new shipment twice a week.

4. The go-to place for vintage cameras!!! – Siam TLR

If you’re a photography fiend and are looking for vintage Polaroids, look no further. Siam TLR shop sells vintage Polaroid, Lomo, and Kodak Cameras, as well as radios and telephones.

They sell film and spare parts for cameras, so if you’re in need of a part, the friendly owner of Siam TLR can help you. They also sell various items that date back to the 1970’s! If you’re in need for that real, vintage camera or radio, then you’ll get the unique, state of the art version here.

5. The market that takes you back in time – Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin (Train Market)

This train market is a must-go for any serious shopper. It’s huge with different sections to shop and eat.

Best of all, there’s a huge retro and vintage section here where you’ll see shops overflowing with vintage goodies waiting to be found.

You’ll find tons of items, from vintage branded bags (think Louis Vuiiton, Chanel, Tiffany’s and Dior) or retro neon bags pulled out of the 70s, to hippie clothing – and vintage cars from the 60s.

Apart from bags and clothes, you’ll even be able to find vintage/collectible footwear too. (True story, we scored a gorgeous pair of Vanessa Bruno lace up leather sandals and an incredible tan camel leather bag – among other items.)

Not only are there shoes for the ladies, there are different shops from actual stores, to stalls with rows and rows of shoes lined up on the street with sneakers for the guys (or girls). If you’re a true sneakerhead, go ahead and hunt down rare sneaker models here!

There are different zones where sellers put their odd collections on display for you – there’s the Market Zone, Warehouse Zone, and Rod’s Antiques. You’ll also find delectable Thai snacks to munch on while you shop, if you get hungry!

6. A vintage music lover’s paradise (clothes and homeware too) – Chatuchak, Chatuchak Plaza

If you’re looking for inexpensive secondhand clothing, then Chatuchak is for you!

There are various sections (Sections 2, 5, 6, 10-16, 18, 20-23) in Chatuchak where you’ll be able to stumble on stores selling vintage apparel. There’s also a fantastic store called Magma where you’ll be able to browse through lovely affordable (100-300 Baht!) vintage pieces at your pleasure.

Chatuchak also sells retro items such as antique artwork, vinyl CDs, watches, vintage cameras and phones, and posters. There’s even a variety of vintage musical instruments and advertising posters for those who appreciate these!

Once you’re done at Chatuchak, head over to Chatuchak Plaza where you’ll be able to find fascinating antiques – such as old spyglasses, world globes, gorgeous huge belljars containing a butterfly garden and more!

It’s as if you’re stepping into a Time Machine upon entering Papaya Vintage. Full of vintage items from the past, this shop boasts anything from Darth Vader figures, comic book characters, and retro lamps.

They house objects that date as far back as the sixties. With three stories and over thousands of items to explore, this shop resembles more of a museum than anything else!
