1. Take the plunge and have a foam party! – Cassia Phuket

It sure looks like a lot of fun. Surely something the kids would enjoy. Cassia Phuket have been known to host their famous foam parties, so make sure you check out their website to see if you can catch one in action.

They also have a kids’ club that encourages creativity – writing on the table with chalk, building things out of legos or some good old building blocks. They’ll also want a bite from the colourful van that sells popcorn and cotton candy for the young ones and some local brew for you.

From the infinity pool, kids’ pool, hot tub or Bangtao Beach (8 minutes walk away!), you can take your pick. But I think you’ll find us hanging from the monkey bars at the outdoor playset.

When you’re ready to retire, rest assured that their rooms feel just like home, complete with a kitchenette in the Two Bedroom Suite with Lagoon or Ocean View.

2. Play in the water all day long – Rawai VIP Villas

Which kid doesn’t like to play? That’s why staying at a resort with indoor and outdoor playgrounds is best as they can play their hearts out whenever they want to and rest immediately once they’re tired.

At Rawai VIP Villas, you can stay at a villa with a private pool, allowing you and your family to play in the water 24/7 without being interrupted. If you want something on a bigger scale, you can always opt to have fun at the Kids Park – ideal for families with kids up to 6 years old. It’s only open from 9am to 8pm though, so plan your time wisely if you’re thinking of having fun here.

Otherwise, bring your lil’ ones to the kids’ club, where tons of fun awaits them – from slides to a ball pit. (Note: Parent’s supervision is needed as there are no special staff for the kids)

It also hosts family events for kids and parties on major holidays like Christmas and Songkran.

PS: A bigger pool for older kids and adults will be launched this December. A new 2-floor kids’ club with more playgrounds and workshops will be opening soon too!

3. The ultimate waterpark resort for kids – Splash Beach Resort by Langham Hospitality Group

You see that big slide in the middle of the resort? That’s where your older AND younger kids will be dragging you to as soon as they wake up. No surprise since it offers various water rides like Whizzard, Raft Rides and Lazy River. There also have a kids zone water area for younger kids to play at.

Each room has a kitchen, perfect if you need to whip up something light in the middle of the night for your young ones. It also has a balcony, for parents who want to enjoy some alone time at night when the kids are asleep.

Need a quick break from the kids? Drop them with the babysitter at the kids’ club and walk to Mai Khao Beach, which is just 9 minutes from the resort.

4. Enjoy a laughter-filled holiday in this family-friendly resort – Swissotel Suites Phuket Kamala Beach

You’ll never feel bored here! There are just so many activities for both you and your kids that you can spend your entire holiday indoors (if you wish to). Scavenger Hunts? Xbox tournaments? Face Painting? That’s just a snippet of everything they offer!

Afterwards, take a break in your comfy rooms or at the poolside for some downtime. There’s even a kitchenette in your rooms, in case you feel like cooking.

But if your kids aren’t so agreeable to this plan, opt for the resort’s babysitting services. They’ll make sure your kids have fun and stay safe the entire time.

5. Have a fun and restful break by the beach – Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa

The fact that you’re in Phuket means you want some beach fun. Luckily, this resort is only 1 minute away from Patong Beach, allowing you to have fun with your family by the beach at all times.

Your kids don’t want to go to the beach? No worries. Bring them to the Kid’s Club where fun activities await. Professional staff will take care of your kids the entire time for your peace of mind.

You can also enjoy a refreshing swim at the swimming pool instead, which is equipped with two kids’ pools, Jacuzzis and a pool bar (adult only!).

Wish for more parent-kid bonding time? Then there’s no better place to do it than at Sunwing Bangtao Beach.

First thing first, they offer tons of family-friendly activities like mini marathon, ceramics painting and t-shirt painting. There’s also a big swimming pool with a slide in the resort for some family water fun.

Secondly, Sunwing Bangtao Beach’s 2 bedroom suite allows you to stay in one room together while still giving kids and parents their own private spaces.

But in case you need me-time, the resort also offers babysitting services.

7. Shabby chic or straight out of Downton Abbey, we can’t decide but it sure is pretty – Thavorn Palm Beach Resort

You don’t have to be an interior designer for the decor at this place to blow you straight out of the water.

The rooms look so welcoming, I want to LIVE there, especially the Deluxe Family Room. The little floral accents paired with that deep walnut is so quaint.

Once you’ve finished salivating over the interior of the room, just take a walk outside and take in the beautifully manicured pathways, whimsical four poster shacks…

…And a little petting zoo so the kids can get acquainted with rabbits and chicken. Or they can have some fun time at the airy kids’ club!

If you’ve got two minutes to spare, zip on down to Karon Beach where you will find more family friendly things to do like share an ice cream cone (although, to be fair, you’ll probably have leftovers or none at all)

8. A luxurious home away from home with extra perks and a hidden beach – Laguna Holiday Club Phuket Resort

Bang Tao Beach is another one of our hidden little secrets. It’s lined with eateries and pristine sands – plus it’s just a 12 minute walk from the resort which is also filled with its own little wonders.

Their kids club looks huge – and we’re tempted to play tag because there’s no way the littlies would hurt themselves on the soft foam carpet. But then again, the slide looks pretty fun too.

Or you can have a little friendly competition at the Games Room, winner get to pick what to eat for dinner!

The Two Bedroom Suite comes equipped with a kitchenette, so if the fancy strikes (or if you’ve got a fussy eater), you know what to do.

9. A hot tub under the skies makes for a romantic evening! – Andaman Embrace Patong

The Suite has the most charming feature: a hot tub on the roof, overlooking the entire resort. The room itself is classy and elegant – but hey, it’s a family room so don’t feel too bad if your littlies mess it up!

If you want to have some alone time, you can leave them at the kids’ club where they’re sure to have fun and be entertained for at least a good hour. 😉

The pool area is fairly large and interesting, with a play area for the younger ones too. When you’re done with chlorine, you can take a short 4 minute walk to Patong Beach and show them how to build sandcastles or just enjoy the scenery.

Oooh! You can also teach them how to play chess with an oversized set somewhere on the compound. They’re never too young to start!

10. Spa for the ‘rents & a pool for the young ones, who said you can’t relax with kids? – Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa

You’ll get not just one, but three pools here. This resort is only a five minute walk from Nai Yang Beach, for those that can’t seem to stay away from sand and waves. Plus, you might spot a low flying plane and some buffaloes.

By the way, don’t stay gone too long, because there are colourful tortoises to be seen and a room to relax in. Modernly decorated with plush pillows and a nice view – just make sure you keep the balcony door locked and safe from cheeky little hands.

11. A resort with a river winding itself throughout and a personal hot tub! – Angsana Laguna Phuket

Phuket itself is a tropical paradise, but this resort seems to really build on that! The design of the place is so fluid and tranquil, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you walk into your room to find it exploding with colour – surely a treat for sore eyes (and the young ones!)

There is a 323 metre long pool that has snaked its way all around the resort and fun activities for both young and old.

And, if you don’t want to take the 15 minute walk to Bang Tao Bay, you can choose to chill at their artificial beach instead. On top of all that, the kids get a playground and a kids’ club with fun and crafty activities all to themselves.

With a hot tub waiting to be used, why should you go on a 20 minute car ride to get to FantaSea when you have fantastic right in your room?

12. Two levels of pools, plus your own whirlpool bathtub! – The Royal Paradise

Yep, this resort boasts a two level pool, so you get a nice cascading waterfall in the shade. Perfect for getting those kinks out of your shoulder and back without having to spend a single dime.

The Family Room comes with a kitchenette where you can perform your magic while the kids check out the whirlpool bathtub.

Being 3 minutes away from Patong beach, you can have some quiet time with a stroll while utilising their super kid conscious facilities like the kids’ club! (Or feel free to head to Jungceylon Shopping Mall for food and some shopping.)
